Non-Raffle Raffle

Every parish family should have received a letter regarding our annual “Non-Raffle Raffle”. This raffle began a number of years ago to help the parish with its summer bills. It has been successful each year. Last year parishioners contributed $16,500! So far, parishioners have donated $16,835.23!

We hope that in the next couple of weeks you will make an offering towards this appeal. There is a return envelope in the letter that can be used to place your gift into the collection basket or send to the parish office. Thank you for your generosity to St Joe’s during these summer months!

Mission Appeal - Thank You!

On the weekend of July 1 & 2, Amber Kraft did a Mission Appeal in behalf of the work of the Salesian Sisters in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Besides sharing with us the work that goes on in their orphanage and school, she asked for our financial support. You have been very generous. So far we have collected $8,733.00. May God reward you for your compassion for the poor.

St. Joseph Food Program

The first weekend of each month, we collect groceries for St. Joseph Food Program. Our next collection weekend is: August 5-6. For more information about the St. Joseph Food Program and how you can help, visit their website: http://stjoesfoodprogram.org/

Eucharistic Holy Hour

Bishop David Ricken has asked every Parish in the diocese to schedule a monthly holy hour before the Blessed Sacrament. This practice is part of his pastoral plan that will focus on PRAYER for the next two years. Our next Holy Hour will be Friday, August 4 following the 12:05 Mass. The Blessed Sacrament will be placed on the altar and there will be prayers, scripture readings, and time for silent reflection.

Holy Hours and Benediction used to be popular devotions in parishes. It has been a while since we've held them at St. Joe's. Presumably, this is the case elsewhere. in bringing back this devotion, we hope many will find this as a means to appreciating the Eucharist and increasing our prayer life.
